Struble 15LX3 Aluminum Reel Seat- Bright Nickel

From our own Struble Way Back Box are these Bright Nickel 15LX3 reel seats that were plated over 3 years ago down the road in Colorado Springs...Unlike the anodized version, these seats have had the scratches removed from the barrel; however, we never offered them for sale for a couple reasons:

1) The polish of the aluminum under the plating is not up to our standards... 

 It's simply cosmetic, but there are miscellaneous machining scars if you look closely...These are no different than what is on the anodized version, only with plating, these minor surface scars cause the finish not to be as mirror perfect as we like.

2) The scratch removal wasn't perfect...

  The scratches that are visible on the anodized versions are fine, but in SOME cases, there evidence of where they were, such as a minor flat spot or "rub marks"...(Pro Tip: Of course, the best way to hide these areas [that aren't easy to see anyway] is to place them where the reel foot sits.)

In both cases, these imperfections are usually only visible to people who are looking for them while spinning them in light, but we want to be upfront about the issues before they are purchased. We are offering them for sale now because we are running out of room to store things and, well, because they don't look all that bad; they just aren't perfect.

Struble Model 15LX3: The last new reel seat model produced by Struble that is truly unique in design.

The 15LX3 features ultra smooth triple-start threads and two Delrin-ringed locknuts for sure locking security. The retainer has hook-keeper portals for temporary hook placement while protecting the hook tip. Comes with both end cap or trim ring for use with a fighting butt.

PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN ASSEMBLING...The in-cork retainer MUST be flush with or down on the barrel or reels will not fit securely.
